2013 Awards

  • Winners of each of the below awards were announced at the Award Ceremony held at in-cosmetics on 16 April (18.30 - 20.00).

    The in-cosmetics Lifetime Achievement Award honours an outstanding individual whose professional accomplishments have made a significant and lasting impact on the field of cosmetic science and whose life and character have earned the respect and admiration of his/her professional colleagues.

    Who could be nominated: any person who has been involved in the field of cosmetic science and who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the industry.

    The awards honour ‘Best New Ingredient’ for one cosmetic/personal care raw material for its innovative design and/or method of development and ‘Most Creative Application’ for one new finished cosmetic/personal care product for the novelty and craft of its formulation and/or application of a technology (launched after January 2013).

    Nominations were reviewed by an esteemed panel of international experts. Each entry was judged not only for its significance to the industry but also for its long-term impact.

    in-cosmetics presented the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award 2013.

    The Award is given to honour the development of a novel active or functional ingredient that combines innovative science and product features in a way that demonstrates substantial benefits to manufacturers and to end-users when compared with existing ingredients.

    Entries were reviewed by an international panel of R&D experts at leading cosmetic and personal care companies.

    Lifetime Achievement

    Dr Karl Lintner was awarded the in-cosmetics Lifetime Achievement award after 1,200 people cast their vote. Dr Karl Lintner is well known in the industry for his contribution to work on skin biochemistry.

    R&D Awards

    Yves Saint Laurent Beaté won 'Most Creative Application' for Youth Liberator Range with Glycanactif™ and Dow Corning won the 'Best New Ingredient' for EL-7040 Hydro Elastor Blend.

    Best Ingredient Award
